Photographing Bruce Ratner in my studio I got to know the very real New Yorker beyond the public figure.

Bruce Ratner is the #ExecutiveChairman of Forest City Ratner Cos., a #NewYork-based #realestatedevelopment company, which he started in 1985. As the #founder of one of the largest urban #realestatedevelopers in the country, #BruceRatner has developed 52 ground-up projects in the #NewYorkCity area over more than 30 years. His #MetroTech Center, an 11-building #corporate campus occupied by more than 20,000 workers, has often been credited with helping to spur the renaissance of #DowntownBrooklyn Mr. Ratner serves on the boards of #WeillCornellMedicalCollege #MemorialSloanKettering Cancer Center, and the #MuseumofJewishHeritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, where he is Chairman. A graduate of #Harvard College and #ColumbiaLawSchool Mr. Ratner holds honorary degrees from #BrooklynCollege #MedgarEversCollege #PrattInstitute and #LongIslandUniversity
